Marda Permaculture Farm aims to model and share ecologically-friendly, small-scale farming and healthy lifestyle practices for farmers in the region, as well as providing outreach to students of permaculture from across the globe – all against a backdrop of expanding Israeli settlements and frequent army incursions.
We will hear from Allan Howard, who has helped establish 2 community projects working with permaculture in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, covering:
- the challenges involved in creating permaculture development projects in difficult working circumstances;
- the present situation of the Marda permaculture project;
- the particular challenges facing Palestinians living in the West Bank & Gaza Strip.
