Land Army Needs You!

Do you fancy learning some new farming skills; spending half a day on a beautiful farm with a nice bunch of people; helping out local farmers, and being part of a wider movement to increase sustainable food production around the City?

Then Greater Manchester's Land Army is just the thing for you!

We are looking for volunteers to trial this exciting new project with us. Working with four local organic growers, this first outing will be doing a range of urgent tasks, from a 'hoe down' to raspberry picking, at a time when farmers are struggling with the challenges the weather has thrown up.

Bridge-5 Mill

 

We are back at MERCi's Bridge-5 Mill for the 5th FeedingManchester, with over forty groups from across Greater Manchester expected to meet up for the uniquely regular opportunity to network, share and plan a sustainable food system for the city.

 

We have a lot to introduce, discuss and plan at FeedingManchester #5 and throughout the day we will be:

1. Updating each other with our news and progress since the last FeedingManchester in June (2010).

2. Making a sustainable food video.
