You are invited to a Tree Planting weekend with Treesponsibility, and the Permaculture Association and as if that is not enough it is also my birthday extravaganda. Two days and nights of permaculture pleasure, carbon crime redemption on windswept hill sides, real ale and good cheer. On Sunday night, those that are left can join me for an ale in a local hostilary before getting on the train back to the big bad city ..
The site:
The planting site is Field's Head Farm. There will be a pickup from Hebden Station at 10.00am Sat and Sun morning if you are just coming for a day, but pls call Christina (phone number below) to let her know you are planning this.
Here are some rough directions to get there if you are making your own way - catch the 'E' bus from Hebden station at 8 minutes past the hour, to Blackshaw Head. Take the road over the river, to New Road (see map below), where there is a row of cottages called Jacksbridge Cottages. 3/4 mile up New Road is Field's Head Farm. I've not been there but I'm gussing the site will be on the side of some windswept hill
.. So bring full waterproofs - top and bottom, wellies, warm socks, wooly hat, probably gloves, and spare clothes to change into if you are stopping at the hostel.
Hospitality
